Element Wing Tsun

Located in beautiful Harrington, NJ, Element Wing Tsun offers first-class Kung Fu training and philosophy that was taught by the Grandmaster of Wing Chun, Yip Man. When Founder and Sifu, Barry Cooper reached out to us and asked for a logo for his new business venture, we were honored to lend our services.

Wing Tsun, also spelled Wing Chun, or Ving Tsun depending on lineage, is one of the most effective and popular forms of martial arts in the world today. Element Wing Tsun comes from the lineage of the late Grandmaster Yip Man, teacher of Bruce Lee.

The Wing Chun wooden dummy, or Mu ren zhuang, is used in Chinese martial arts training and is traditionally made from wood. A popular legend says it came about when 108 separate wooden dummies from the Shaolin Temple were combined into one by the nun Ng Mui to make training more efficient and effective. The Wing Chun wooden dummy uses an arm and leg configuration designed to cultivate fighting skill and chi simultaneously.

The logo is a based on the Chinese symbol for longevity, and is made up of two abstractly-designed wooden dummies, placed back-to-back of one another.

Wing Tsun would achieve world-wide exposure through the efforts of Sifu Leung Ting and many others. More recently the art of Wing Tsun gained much exposure through the Ip Man (erroneous spelling of Yip Man) films of Donnie Yen and Anthony Wong.

I am absolutely thrilled with my logo. Bryan was extremely patient, and really cared about capturing the true essence of my brand. I can’t imagine having a different logo after seeing his designs.
